For some time, I've had images of kids scrambling around on a beach and around tidal pools looking all kinds of interesting things in the water. I suppose it goes back to my childhood when I used to do the same whenever I had the opportunity. So the scene is invented but the type of scene that one would expect to see along a shoreline.
