As an artist, I find Joe Batts Arm on Fogo Island a delightful place to just walk or sit and take in the scenery around me. Whether it is a boat, like this one, laid up and waiting to go back in the water or one of the many fishing stages dotted around the bay, there are countless subjects to sketch, paint or photograph. I have an attraction to boats so this solitary boat just sitting there just begged to be painted, so I obliged!
